Inspection Criteria of Stitched Garments and Textiles

We do random inspection based on the internationally recognised statistical random sampling technique, commonly known as ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 / BS 6001 / DIN 40080 / ISO 2859 / NF X 06-022. We verify quantity, workmanship, function, colour, size specifications and packing details, all with a view to ensure that the contracted specifications are met.

Random Inspection covers:

  • Quantity Check against PO/ Packing List.
  • Packing & assortment check (including export carton packing, carton marking & inner carton packing).
  • Product packaging and assortment check.
  • All accessories.
  • Product conformity check (including style, material, Colour, hand feel (against client’s reference sample).
  • Verify workmanship, function,
  • Verify size specifications.
  • On-site tests (e.g. barcode verification, measurement,)
  • GSM or Piece weight what ever if required.
  • Needle detection check ( Machine available at site)
  • Inspection Conditions
  • Detailed pictures of different views of packed and unpacked pieces, and close up pictures of defects.

Random sampling inspection method:

ANSI/ASQ Z1.4/BS 6001/DIN 40080/ ISO2859/NF X 06-022 It is a random sampling inspection method by attributes based on the mathematical theory of probability. This method provides the number of samples to be inspected in a given lot/shipment size. It also provides the specific criteria for acceptance or rejection of a shipment/lot based on the number of defects found and provides a fair assessment to both buyers and sellers of product quality.

Note:

  1. The above AQL’s are applied by Marlayz Brüder unless specified otherwise by the Inspection Protocol or client specification. Refer to section “Defects and Defectives” of this document for additional information; unless the client provides a specific AQL for Critical defects, no Critical defects will be allowed.

  2. The standard practice is 0% tolerance for Critical defects, i.e. AQL for Critical = Not Allowed.

Inspection Criteria of Fabric Inspections.

Fabric inspection are carried out at 4 point system, focuses on fault/defect rate colour, end to end and edge to middle shading, hand/handle and appearance.

The following aspects are assessed:

A Detailed visual inspection is carried out with reference to:

  1. Design/Colour/shade/hand feel (against client’s reference sample).
  2. Yarn defects/weaving defects/processing defects/Fabric defects.
  3. length/width/construction/weight (where required).
  4. On site Visual inspection of fabric using 4 point system.
  5. On site assessment of fabric construction.
  6. On site and off site colour matching with approved sample.
  7. Usable/Cut able Width.

What is the 4-point system as per American Society of Testing ASTM D5430-93

Faults are scored with penalty points of 1, 2, 3 and 4 according to their size and significance.
